Apps to add…now

April 26, 2011

I have, on occasion, been accused of not demonstrating some red thing that resides inside the chests of most humans. So consider this a public service announcement.

If you own an iPhone and like to send text messages – especially those of you who do so while driving – you need ‘WhatsApp’ by WhatsApp Inc. This clever little guy allows you to send text messages free to anyone who has the app (available for many types of smart phones). The beauty of it is that you don’t even need to be in the app to receive messages…you are notified just like any other text message. It costs a whopping $1 so dust off your wallet and make it happen. Your welcome.

The second one is for iPhone users only, but is still worth it. Viber by Viber Media Inc. allows you to call iPhone to iPhone for free as long as you both have an internet connection. Even internationally. Those of you that get out a little will find this one very useful.

I’m on vacation so I’m trying to keep it light. Just visited La Gomera…home of Christopher Columbus’ girlfriend. That has nothing to do with anything, but thought it might interest all five of you that read this blog.
